Re-Discovering Captured - Glen Medeiros!

© 1999 Amherst Records

Glen had an awesome song in the 1980's called "Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You" from his debut CD. He then followed this up with "Not Me" - "Glen Medeiros" - “It’s Alright To Love” - “The Glenn Medeiros Christmas Album” “Sweet Island Music” - “Captured” and 2003 his latest offering “ME” which I am yet to get ahold of.

I have both versions of his debut CD from 1987 the USA Version and the Australian Version. I also have his 7" single with Bobby Brown "She Ain't Worth It"

Glen resides in Hawaii and currently sings at a local resort in Hawaii. He also is a successful primary school teacher teaching music at grade school level - Glenn graduated from University as a teacher in History which is really a massive achievment. He also has a Masters Degree in Special Education.

I am a huge fan of Glen Mederios and think his music is awesome.

I just got a copy of his CD called Captured which I did miss in 1999. I have no idea how that happened or why. Well I have now gotten over that and moved on. :) breathe deaply 5 breath cycles and now wu chi (mountain pose.) holding my chi ball. :) Now back to Glen his CD "Captured" has 12 great tracks. If you remember track 2 from Bodybalance 21 then Captured from this CD in parts remind me of that track. The CD is packed full of songs so suited to Bodybalance/Flow.

You should be dancing" from the CD is a remake of the massive Bee Gees Hot "You Should be Dancing" that track rocks from the CD and def a highlight from the CD :) I adore the Bee Gees but Glen version is a cool version of the track.

Song Title

1. Then She Touched Me
2. If I Never Love Again
3. Inside
4. These Tears I Cry
5. Would I

6. Sometimes

Half-Moon Pose - Ardhachandra-asana!

The Half-Moon Pose - Ardhachandra-asana is an awesome pose we did a long time ago in Bodybalance/Flow

Would love love love to see that pose back in track 4 of Bodybalance/Flow the last time was in I think it was 2000 or early 2001.

You can move from Virabhadrasana I (Warrior Pose I) to Virabhadrasana III (Warrior Pose III) and then went to Half-Moon Pose - Ardhachandra-asana that is a wonderful conection of poses and would go down a treat in Bodybalance as a track 4.

I hope that Jackie brings back Half-Moon Pose - Ardhachandra-asana one day to Bodybalance/Flow!

Just try it everyone it is an awesome movement!

Does anyone know!

If anyone knows who is on the cover of this release please let me know. :)

Bodybalance/Flow 34 - Gods Top 10!

For the people in the USA or Canada I won't spoil it and say something that they might not want to know. The following is a critique of the release not getting into poses or anything that might appear as a spoiler. It has taken me awhile to post something here about the release and I was looking for time to do so.

Track 1: Is a wonderful track broken down into simple effective flowing movement, and delivered that way, nice to begin a release with a reflective track.

Track 2: I think is a way cool party track everytime I hear it I think of "The Catwoman" Julie Newmar for some strange reason. Great movements and really fun and party feeling to the track. Done with perfection on the DVD, has a 60's feel to the track : )

Track 3: The longest track ever in Bodybalance/Flow history what makes this track is the length of the music and the ability to get into a move and spend time there before going on and developing a good breath by breath feeling in the track. You can explore your own options and get into some advanced options and work them from the ground up. Just love the music and the choreography developed by Jackie and her team. It is a hard workout on your body and you know you appreciate that (right.) :)

Track 4: Wow I adore this track now my favorite track 4 ever you can match this with Prayer for the Dying. Nice flowing movements and graceful transition from one pose to the other. Tons of space for getting the most out of the poses. The best track 4 ever IMO and I have been with Bodybalance/Flow for such a long time.

Track 5: I must be flexible in the hip region more than others can get into the poses without to much difficulty, mind you the torso the following day feels like it has been worked well.

Track 6: Cruise into the abs with this one tons of awesome moves by Jackie. Loved the transitions from one movement to another. Will say more in a few weeks when everyone has done that track it is a great party track.

Track 7: New moves and new learning curves are the essence of the track. Love the transitions in this track. Have a ball with this track another party track from this release.

Track 8: Wow a way cool track a real hard track, you think wow the music is mellow and then bang it hits you and you are in a total sweat. I am dripping by the end of this track and in a ball of sweat and feeling that I have truly worked every part of the body. Great to have that feeling in Bodybalance/Flow. Now a gem track and love the music as well.

Track 9: Great piece of music and new artist to Bodybalance/Flow which is always a good thing to see. Love the transitions in this track. You explore your own options and explore new awareness of depth in this track. The music just washes over you.

Track 10: Nice to see the return of something old here.

Track 11. Love the music and how it transcends Beta and Alpha :)

Over all one awesome release from Jackie and her team. This one and Bodybalance/Flow 30 are georgous and Bodybalance/Flow release 34 is going to rock your Bodybalance world. Will write up more in the Active Forum over the next few weeks when everyone gets a chance to experience one of Bodybalances Top 10 releases in the 30's series of Bodybalance/Flow.

May today become a light for tomorrow and the happiness that is within enhances a brighter day ahead!

Namaste to all!

Letting the Subconscious Loose

Found this wonderful article on relaxation and thought I would share it with everyone!

Letting the Subconscious Loose!

There is a section on relaxaion techniques where we go from a Beta State to an Alpha State of Relaxation.

I hope that everyone enjoys reading it.

Relaxation and Meditation in Bodybalance/Flow really isn't much talked about and is unchartered territory. I know some people that never stay for meditation and relaxation they simply leave the class at the end of track 9. I have no idea why they would do that? Maybe they have children to pick up or late for some appointment. "It is the best part of the class."
